Effective 6 August 2026.
This policy explains how Lodestar Dispatch LLC (“Lodestar”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through lodestardispatch.com, through our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and in the course of providing dispatch services to motor carriers.
The short version. We collect the details you give us so we can call you back and, if you become a customer, dispatch your truck. We use Meta’s advertising tools to measure whether our ads work. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone who is not helping us run the business.
1 · Who we are
Lodestar Dispatch LLC is a truck dispatch service registered in Wyoming, USA, operating as the authorised agent of motor carriers. We are not a freight broker and hold no FMCSA operating authority of our own.
Questions about this policy, or any request described in section 7, go to hello@lodestardispatch.com or (307) 317-3534.
2 · What we collect
Information you give us
When you complete the enquiry form on this website, or a lead form inside Facebook or Instagram, you may give us:
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your company name, MC or DOT number
- Number of trucks, equipment type, and how long you have held your authority
- Anything else you choose to write in the notes field
You may also give us information by email, by phone, or in the documents exchanged when a carrier signs on — service agreements, insurance certificates, authority documents and the like.
Information collected automatically
When you visit this website we and our providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site or advertisement that referred you. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel described in section 4.
Information from public records
We verify carrier authority using the FMCSA’s public SAFER and licensing databases. That information is a matter of public record and we did not obtain it from you.
3 · Why we use it
- To answer you. Returning your call or email is the whole reason the form exists.
- To qualify and verify. Confirming an MC number on SAFER before we dial.
- To deliver the service. Booking loads with brokers under your authority, and invoicing our dispatch fee.
- To measure our advertising. Understanding which advertisements produce real enquiries, so we can stop paying for the ones that do not.
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations.
4 · Advertising, cookies and Meta
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, which are operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. To measure whether those advertisements work, we use two Meta tools:
- The Meta Pixel — a small piece of code on this website that records page views and form submissions in your browser.
- The Conversions API — the same events, sent to Meta from our server rather than your browser, so that measurement still works when browser tracking is blocked.
Where an event is sent to Meta with contact details attached, your email address and phone number are irreversibly hashed (SHA-256) before they leave our server. Meta uses the hash to match the event to an account it already holds; it does not receive your address or number in readable form from us.
If you submit a lead form inside Facebook or Instagram, Meta collects that information on its own platform and passes it to us. Meta’s own handling of your data is governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.
How to opt out
- Adjust what Meta shows you through Facebook Ad Preferences.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or browse in a private window.
- Send a browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal — we honour GPC as an opt-out of any sharing for advertising purposes.
5 · Who we share it with
We share personal information only with providers who help us run the business, and only so far as they need it:
- Vercel — website and form hosting
- Google Workspace — email and document storage
- Meta Platforms — advertising measurement, as described in section 4
- Brokers — where you are a customer, the details necessary to book and move your freight under your authority
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we are required by law
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the measurement described above.
6 · Where it is handled, and for how long
Lodestar Dispatch LLC is a US company. Its operations team is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and personal information is accessed and processed there as well as in the United States. We are open about this because it is central to how the service works.
Enquiries that do not become customers are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. Customer records are kept for as long as the account is active and for seven years afterwards, to meet tax and contractual record-keeping requirements.
7 · Your choices and rights
Whatever state or country you are in, you may ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Give you a copy of it
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop contacting you
Email hello@lodestardispatch.com and we will respond within 45 days. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you any differently for asking.
Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights by statute, including the right to appeal a refusal — reply to our response and a person will review it. Residents of the EU and UK may also object to processing or lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
8 · Marketing email and calls
If you submit a form you are asking us to contact you, and we will call or email you about your enquiry. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link. Ask us to stop calling and we will stop.
9 · Security
Access to enquiry and customer data is limited to the people who need it, accounts are protected by two-factor authentication, and data in transit is encrypted. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not keep what we do not need.
10 · Children
This is a commercial service for people who hold motor carrier authority. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11 · Changes
If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be flagged on the website.
